New Year New Yoni – The Angry Vagina Talks…

angry_vagina_by_dianamuca-d4jondu

Imagine your yoni could talk, what would she say?  What secrets would she reveal?  What emotions would she share?  Happiness? Anger? Sadness? Frustration?  How often do we admire, appreciate and express gratitude to our yoni, for all the pain, neglect or inconsiderate behaviour we sometimes put her through?!

So what is yoni?

Yoni is the Sanskrit word referring to the entire female anatomy eg. womb, uterus, vagina, vulva, abode, or source. The yoni is seen as more than just the ‘vagina’ or mere physicality, the yoni is the sacred space, divine passage, source and creative energy.

As a young woman growing up, I unfortunately wasn’t given any information on caring for my yoni and suffered common female inflictions  and more serious issues such as fibroids.  Unfortunately nothing was said about loving or caring for ‘her’. Well unless you include the standard advice about periods and not giving ‘it’ away too soon!  So as a grown woman, I also did little to nurture my yoni, even after experiencing abuse and wrong doings, the subject of vagina etc. was something that was seen as hush-hush and taboo, among both my family and friends.

Ironically, although we are now bombarded with over sexualised representations of our vagina’s, to the point of becoming desensitised, there is still an absence of info about caring for our yoni’s wholistically – physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

What we need is Yonification – YES all yoni’s to unite and help empower ourselves and others, so that we don’t suffer silently.  I feel quite strongly about this and these are the types of issues I address in The Angry Vagina Talks #AVT, which is aimed at promoting honest and healthy conversations on female health, fitness, empowerment and body image.  Unfortunately many women try to disassociate themselves from their yoni or see it as a function only to engage in sex, menstruate or give birth.

Let’s stop feeling so embarrassed to talk about our yoni’s and our vagina’s. Have they become so sexualised that we have forgotten their creative capabilities and power? #PumPumSuperPower No one should feel judged, embarrassed or ashamed to discuss this area.  One word – no not yoni -Sisterhood!  Why are our grandmothers, mothers and daughters not discussing this area openly and honestly. We are all waling and wondering in the dark.

Shouldn’t we want to know how to care for our yoni, how to heal our yoni, how to pleasure our yoni, love our yoni and like our yoni!

So let’s starts again, let’s give our yoni more than just a mere glance as you wash and wax her!  She deserves your respect, love and healing for all of the direct and indirect inflictions and trauma in order to heal, help us, inform and empower future yoni’s who help birth our nation, creatively or physically.

LET’S YONIFY!

Happy New Yoni.

  2. Hello,
My name is Rochelle & I’m 49 years old. Currently I’m embarking into a new journey in my life which consists of healing myself & learning to eat correctly , I need help. I have hypothyroidism & I’m pre-diabetic. My hypothyroidism suggest for me to eat in a way that’s conflicting to my pre-diabetic state. This Queen is confused. I would really appreciate any guidance from you.
