When I was growing up, the perception of women in their 40’s was that they were old, ‘passed it’ and almost one foot in the grave! However when I was nearing 40 years, I nearly panicked but then did a quick reality check (#mindfulness) and realised this view was utter nonsense!!! Not just because of the inspiring images of 40+ women but I also felt youthful and fitabulous, well at least in my soul!! lol
To be honest, most of the blogs at that time were written by some young annoying 26 year old blonde female, rich I might-add with their big beautiful homes, showing off their washboard stomachs, still travelling, YOLO selves(#yeshatinghard). So this blog is for all the big women (bigup), who feel youthful, real women with real tits, lives & real issues. It doesn’t matter how many times you have cycled around the block, fallen off, as long as you get back on! Well that’s what I’m buying.
I hope to inspire you and to let you know that hitting 40 is the start of something amazing, and to mark the occasion, I launched this blog documenting the journey of me training for my first Muay Thai boxing competition a mother of two, aged 40 years.
What a journey, since then I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my tips with women and mothers on how to remain empowered, fit and well. I conduct my Fit Mammas BoxFit classes which allows women to gain Super Power Fitness and I have launched a social event – The Angry Vagina Talks to help women network, connect, share and laugh! I have had some hogh and ows but I a still here (give thAnks).
My motto is FULL-JOY and remain BE-YOU-TO-FULL (or die trying)!
This blog is primarily about the beauty and the beast of being a woman, keeping fit, healthy and fabulous whilst juggling a family, personal life, business, dramas and trying to remain sane, youthfully and fitabulous!
Oh I can sometimes be raw to the point, rude, unconventional and unapologetically me, with bad grammar, so if you looking for niceties, mediocre and political correctness. PISS OFF!
Apart from the occasional rudeness, I am a Wellbeing Specialist, Trained Counsellor, Nutritional Advisor, BoxFit & Yoga teacher.
